This makes and breaks a magnetic circuit each time a spark plug fires. Because of the high HEI voltage 35, volts , special 8mm diameter spark plug wires with silicone insulation are used. Silicone insulation is soft and must be handled with extreme care. Replace any scratched or nicked wire. Fuel economy is improved at cruising speeds and exhaust emissions are reduced. Restarting of a hot engine is improved. Figure shows the different ESS operating modes. History of the Design and Production – Many radio engineers of the thirties believed that the absolute, best sensitivity and stability of a communication receiver’s RF amplifier, First Detector and Local Oscillator could only be achieved by using “plug-in” coils.

This type of approach eliminated problems of lead length, shielding and stability along with isolation of unused tuned circuits – problems that were commonly found in broadcast receivers using conventional rotary bandswitches. Plug-in coils were a hassle, no doubt. James Millen, National Co. But, how to effectively eliminate the valid arguments against plug-in coil use in a new product?

A simple test would be to use an ohmmeter and check that the connection between power and load actually switches when the rocker is moved from position to position. If it does once again you should check the resistance from the gnd terminal to each other terminal with the switch actually off and see if there is a possibility the led or bulb is actually shorted. Generally a led will read as an open circuit unless your meter supplies at least 3v to the test leads while a lamp will read a low resistance.

A possibility also exists that your supply is putting out a high level of ripple and could be causing the led to act as a short. This possibility can be checked by hooking up your multimeter and monitoring the amount of AC present. Small wall warts usually contain little or no filtering and depend on the equipment its meant to power for final filtering and some are pure AC.

It’s not that hard You have 3 options: Use a factory switch. Use an aftermarket switch. Make your own switch system. Factory switchMost of you will have a hotrod that uses a steering column that has a turn signal switch built in. What you need to do is find the wiring diagram for the vehicle the column came from. Just find it on the internet. It will show you which wire should go where Aftermarket switch Some of you will have a hotrod that doesn’t have a factory switch in the column.

Try these instead of booted winter wiper blades! And in , they receive the following significant improvements: We have received reports of heavy duty truckers using our wiper blades for as long as 5 years without replacing them! Booted winter wipers are a concept that keep ice and snow buildup from the “works” of the wiper, but do not prevent ice and snow buildup on the squeegee blade. Heated windshield wiper blades go the next step, actually melting the ice and snow away so that they won’t interfere with wipe quality or blade function.

We have upgraded our switch to a much heavier duty switch with a lighted toggle lever.

My Jeeps Alright guys, I’m new here! So please bear with me if I have missed another post with the information I need. My fan quit working this summer and I am in a financial pickle so I cut the wires and hotwired it up. I’m under the impression that my ac condenser is clogged which prevented the fan from blowing onto my radiator. My radiator suffered a tiny little crack on the top driver side corner, it’s cracked on the plastic part. I’ve managed to temporarily patch that up and stop the leak.

So I’ve had no issues with overheating since I hotwired the fan. Now, my mechanical knowledge is basic, probably above average for a lady. But my electrical aspect of mechanics is non-exsistent. I need to know if hooking up a toggle switch instead of twisting my wires together is really as simple as wrapping one wire around one side of the switch and the other wire around the other side. Is my lack of confidence in electrical work making this job seem more complicated then it is?

Is my fear of being shocked turning a simple job into something complicated? I’ve had the switch for two weeks now but my lack of money, knowledge and stubborn pride have kept me from asking for help until now. The wires are already cut and running through my dash so any tips or inscructions about hooking up the toggle switch would be extremely helpful and greatly appreciated.
